<br />
<div style="text-align: left; text-align: justify;">
In <b>EDWinXP 1.95</b>, <b>Parallel Routing</b> is one of the enhanced feature in <b>PCB Layout Editor</b>. This will help to make PCB circuits easier than the other versions of EDWinXP. We have added the same feature in EDWinNET 1.0 Standard Version.<br/>
This option can be selected from <b>Auto</b> menu in <b>Layout Editor</b>, select <b>Parallel Routing</b> option. It will enable the Parallel routing mode. Enable <b>Connections – Route</b>.Earlier for Parallel routing of traces depress the key combination <b>Shift + E</b> prior to selecting a starting pad of a traces set. This enables the mode for blocking several pins. Selecting the pins will enable parallel routing window where you can specify the routing space. Specify the spacing and click on <b>Accept</b> button.<br/>
After arriving to final destination for the leading trace, it can be connected in normal fashion. When leading trace is connected, the next unconnected is taken as the leading and parallel routing continues until all in the bunch been connected or operation aborted by <b>ESC.</b>

<div class="style1" style="font-size: 22px; margin-left: 222px; text-align: justify;">
<b>AsPacker – Wire Bond Explorer</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">
<b> AsPacker</b>
is a tool to explore and develop bare Die wirebond solutions for PCBs,
MCMs, Hybrids and Packages.
AsPacker is a tool that aids the designer integrate bare die or chips
into their design.
It is fully programmable and flexible with many options to explore while
trying to achieve the best design possible for your needs.
High pin-out die can be a nightmare to deal with unless you have a tool
like AsPacker do the work for you.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">
It is simple to use and easy to
earn. Anybody wishing to take advantage of using bare die or chips in their
designs will benefit by using Aspacker. It eliminates the guess work of hand
editing by using design rules to drive the process. For advanced users it can be
used in the design of Multi Chip Modules, Hybrids Circuits and Packages.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">
By using AsPacker, the time
from start to finish is greatly reduced while increasing the design integrity
and reliability. All commands are recorded as they are executed and can be
edited and played back at any time. This makes the design process and set-up
repeatable, reliable and reusable. Interface with EDWin is done by using an
industry standard LIQ file format.</div>
<h3 class="style1" style="text-align: left;">
<b>Industry – proven algorithms</b></h3>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">
Original code stream was
developed
to assist MCM design houses in the early 1990’s. Second
generation algorithms
licensed to Mentor’s PADs and Synopsy's Sager systems and are
still in use today.
Third generation represents a complete rewrite of the algorithms to
allow for a better user interface and integration of multiple tools into
a single tool.
Fourth generation continued to simplify the design process
focusing more on the
layout engineer eliminating parts of the code that dealt with
ASIC design and tailored to work with EDWin.The fanout algorithms have
been rewritten again to increasing the accuracy and reliability of the
design process through the use of scripting and an easy to understand
command language.</div>
<h3 class="style1" style="text-align: left;">
<b>Superior QOR (Quality of Results)</b></h3>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: left;">
Patent Pending algorithm yields superior wirebond results like:
</div>
<ul style="text-align: left;" type="square">
<li>Minimum total wirebond length.</li>
<li>Minimum wirebond angles.</li>
</ul>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">
Algorithm
places die bond pads into geographic groups based on distances between
die bond pads and bonds out each group separately.
Whereas other tools center the substrate
pads at the geometric center of each
side and evenly spread out the pads
regardless of gaps between die bond pads.
This</div>
<ul style="text-align: left;" type="square">
<li>Can lead to longer wirebonds.</li>
<li>Can create excessive wirebond angles</li>
</ul>
<div style="font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">
AsPacker iteratively looks at multiple solutions and interactions
between groups to generate the best final solution.Total Maximum
Iterations can be set (defaults to 100) and the tool will stop before
the max iterations if the changes between iterations is less than a set
parameter (defaults to .01 micron).</div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">QR code is a type of
barcode which can be read by devices such as smart phones. It was invented by
Toyota’s subsidiary Denso Wave in 1994 to track vehicles during the
manufacturing process. Its design was made such that it allowed high speed scanning
of components. Being internationally standardized under ISO 18004, they can
store up to 4296 characters. The Denso Waves holds the patent rights but the
use of QR codes is license free.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">QR codes are two
dimensional, that is, information can be stored in both horizontal as well as
vertical directions. They support special characters like Kanji etc., along
with numeric, alphanumeric and binary data. The data encoded in the QR code can
be text, website URL, e-mail address, contact information or SMS.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Barcode is a
machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to
which it is attached like product packaging or containers. Barcodes can store
information only in the horizontal direction.</span></div>

characters (Kanji) whereas barcodes encode only alphanumeric characters.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The smallest dot of a
QR code is called a module. The resolving power of the cameras used to scan the
code is the determiner of its minimum dimension. However the recommended
minimum size is 32 x 32mm² (1.25 x 1.25inch²). A good contrast between the
colour of the background and the dots is very important in order to ensure good
reader accuracy.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The larger the QR code
the easier it is for it to be scanned. The file formats used for creating a QR
code are – HTML code, PNG file, Tiff file, SVG and EPS. PNG files work well as they
can be easily resized.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Product tracking, item
identification, time tracking, document management, inventory control,
advertising etc., are some of the applications of QR codes.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">QR code system includes
a QR code printer and a QR code scanner. To generate QR codes, a special
printer and QR code creation software is required. There are three position
detection patterns – top left, top right and bottom right corners of the
matrix. Factors to be considered while determining the size of a QR code is –
symbol version, data capacity, character type, error correction level and
module size.</span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l2 level1 lfo2; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">

Versions</span></i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> – Symbol versions of QR codes range from 1 (21x 21
modules) to 40 (177 x 177 modules). Each version has maximum data capacity
which depends on the amount of data, type of characters and the error
correction level. Hence, more the data stored, the larger the size of the QR
code.</span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l2 level1 lfo2; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">

Correction Level</span></i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> – The user can retrieve data from a
damaged QR code with the help of error correction. QR codes have four levels of
error correction – L, M, Q and H – which can be chosen by the user at the time
of creation.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36.0pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Level

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36.0pt; text-align: justify;">

H = 30%</span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Higher
error correction level implies increase in percentage of code words used for
error correction and thereby decreases the amount of data that can be stored
inside the code.</span></div>

of QR Codes</span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">There is a method named
“attagging” one word for “attack tagging” using which one can combine malicious
QR codes with the reader which can put the user’s contents and privacy at risk.
There is no way to know whether the code is genuine. QR codes can be used to
gain full access to a smart phone. QR codes require connection to the internet
to give information. Another major disadvantage is its dependability on smart
phones, if one does not have a smart phone, QR codes are not at all beneficial
to them and not all phones with camera support the correct reader software.</span></div>

Complete design information is stored in the integrated project simultaneously accessible by Schematic Diagram Editor, PCB Layout Editor, Fabrication Output Manager and Simulators. This simulator provides EDWinXP users with the facility to analyze and validate the functionality and behaviour of circuits captured in the form of schematic diagrams. The EDSpice simulator is based on </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">SPICE3F5</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> and </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">XSPICE</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> with a number of extensions and improvements. Front and back annotation of all design changes is fully automatic.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">EDWinXP comes with an extensive part library, which may be updated, customized and enhanced with the help of th the help of </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Library Editor</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">. All data about hierarchical electronic design (which may consist of several circuits and sub-circuits) is stored in a single database, along with PCB layouts for every board in the design, i.e. the software works on the concept of integrated project database. In other words, the documentation of a complete electronic device may be stored in one disk file. All parts of the design project – schematics, PCB layout and PCB fabrication drawings and documents are simultaneously accessible by task oriented software modules of the system. Changes in the design, entered on diagrams are automatically and in real time annotated on PCB layout design and vice versa. </span><br style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;" /><br style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">The current version, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">EDWinXP 1.90</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> unveils a countless set of features, comprising of </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Schematic Editor</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">,</span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Simulators</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> – </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mixed Mode Simulator</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> and </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">SPICE Based Simulator</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">EDSpice</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">PCB Layout Editor</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> – Create the PCB Layout, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Fabrication Manager</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> – generate Manufacturing output files for Photoplotter, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">NC Drill</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> etc, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Thermal Analyzer</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> – check for hotspots on the board, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Electromagnetic Analyzer</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;"> (with Signal Integrity and Field analyzer) – check for electromagnetic effects on the board. 3D Viewers and Editors, VHDL Editor with facility of automatic project creation from VHDL source and Converters (</span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">CUPL</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">JEDEC</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">XILINX</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">), Microcontroller Simulation using</span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">8051</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">,</span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">AVR</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">,</span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">PIC</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">,</span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Motorola Microcontrollers</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">, </span><b style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">3D Library Editor</b><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;">, Model Generators from VHDL for Mixed Mode and EDSpice Simulators with facility of automatic creation of model/ library along with other features.
